Program :Departure at 8:00 a.m. behind Alexander Nevski Cathedral. Visit to the Zemen Monastery. The 11th century church of St. John the Evangelist, part of the complex, is a typical representative of the Bulgarian Mediaeval church architecture. The murals presenting moments from the Holy Bible are its greatest treasure. Kyustendil was founded in the 5th century B.C. by the Thracian tribes who settled here attracted by the hot mineral springs. In the1st century A.D. the Romans turned it into a town named Pautalia which literally means city of the springs. They built ancient baths as well as strong fortress wall which remains can be still seen nowadays. Remarkable places of interest are the Ahmed Bey Mosque, the medieval Tower and the Archeological Museum. Here is the art gallery named after the greatest Bulgarian artist Vladimir Dimitrov – the Master, the house-museum of Dimitar Peshev – the man who helped saving Bulgarian jews during the Second World War. Tour duration -approximately 9 and a half hours. The tour ends behind Alexander Nevski Cathedral.

The price includes:
- transportation with comfortable bus or minibus, walking tour in the city of Kyustendil, entrance fee for Zemen Monastery, professional guiding services in English and VAT.

The price does not includes:
- hotel pick-up, lunch, coffee-breaks, personal expenses, and gratuities to the guide, driver or tour manager.

Useful information:
- Cancellations: A refund of 20 % of the tour price will be made if the cancellation is up to 24 hours before tour departure. If you cancel earlier than 24 hours – full refund of the price.
- Insurance: Not included. Please, discuss it with us.
- Accident or loss: We have no liability for loss, damage, delay,inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees’ negligence, in which case our liability is limited to maximum of the refund of the tour cost.
- Please note: Children and students up to 16 years of age should be accompanied by an adult. Tourists, disturbing the rest of the travelers in the group with intolerant or bad behavior will be asked to leave the group immediately with no money refund!
- Students -up to 25 yrs.: At the time of booking students must provide student ID card and bring it with them on the day of travel.
